Who we are

JG Core Ltd (company number 16218779, registered in England and Wales) runs jgcore.com and the products and channels described on it. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at joshua@jgcore.com.

This website

jgcore.com uses no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie is a strictly necessary session cookie set when an administrator signs in.

We keep our own cookieless visit statistics. For each page view we record the page, the type of browser or automated agent (worked out from its user-agent string), whether the visit came from an AI assistant, and the approximate location (country, region and city) supplied by our host. We do not store IP addresses for this, and the statistics are kept as daily totals on our own server.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, also keeps standard server logs for security and reliability.

If you email us, we use your message and address to reply, and keep them only as long as needed.

JG Core Studios, Google and YouTube

JG Core Studios is the part of JG Core Ltd that makes educational video channels, such as Kepler's Notebook. Our internal application, JG Core Studios Pipeline, uses YouTube API Services and other Google APIs only to manage channels that JG Core Ltd owns: uploading videos, editing channel and video details, managing playlists, and reading those channels' analytics. It is not offered to the public and does not access anyone else's Google account.

The access tokens Google issues to us are stored securely on our own systems and are never sold, shared or used for advertising. We keep them only while we operate the channel. The account holder can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

From YouTube we receive aggregated, anonymised statistics about how our videos are watched. We do not receive viewers' personal data, apart from public comments, which we may read, reply to or moderate.

JG Core Studios uses YouTube API Services. If you interact with our YouTube content, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run our services: Vercel (website hosting), Zoho (email), Google (YouTube and cloud services), Zernio (publishing to social platforms) and cloud storage providers. They process data only on our instructions.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and show the date of the latest version above.
